FAQs

How can my young person join?

If your young person is aged 11-25 they can sign up to the National Youth Theatre Hub today. The Hub is a creative community, where for £2 a month (or £24 for the year) you can access talks, get exclusive content and audition to become a Company Member of National Youth Theatre. Company Members are invited on a introductory course and then can perform in our productions in leading theatres and on screen, access professional castings and get free training.

How much does it cost?

The cost of our activities varies depending on its nature.

- The Hub is £2 a month or £24 a year (a bursary for a year subscription is available depending on circumstances)

- The company membership is £35 a year

Courses are priced between £150 - £300 depending on the course. Bursaries are available for all courses and we never want cost to be a barrier to participation.

We also have free courses Playing Up, Stepping Up and the NYT REP Company.

If you're able to pay it forward and donate to support our bursary fund and opportunities for young people facing barriers, you can donate here.

Can I apply for a Bursary?

At The National Youth Theatre we never want cost to be a barrier, so we offer bursaries and fee waivers for all our courses, subscription, membership fees and courses. We also support travel and accommodation costs via our bursary fund where relevant. Fore more information and to find out if you're eligible, visit our bursaries page.

We hold projects and performances around the country each year and recently these have included IGNITE Your Creativity in partnership with NETFLIX in Wales, the West Midlands, the North West, West Yorkshire, the North East and East London. We've also recently performed in Norfolk, East Leeds, Liverpool, Sussex, Northampton, the West End and Glasgow. This year we're also working in Kenya as part of a British Council funded cultural exchange.

We also hold workshops online from The Hub, auditions and courses online, so wherever you are based you can take part in the comfort of your own home.
